NEWS

The Games rules have been changed slightly after consulting with international organisations. These changes are to improve the sport, make course design easier and maintain a high level of competition.

SNOOKER

To qualify as a Champion you need 5 qualifying WINS.  This was initially the intention, as it is in Agility and Jumping, but was omitted from the rules.

Course obstacles can have ANY value assigned to them. This is to say that a single jump, if placed strategically, will be more difficult to negotiate than a dog walk  being used purely because of the perceived difficulty of the obstacle.

Therefore any obstacle can have any value and difficulty will rely on course design.

Item 10.12

Times have changed for Standard configuration and Modified configuration.

PLUS items 2 and 5 have been deleted  from the old rules, simply because they refer to 4 red jumps being used and our rules state only 3 of 4 reds can be used successfully.

The rest of the changes have been done to remove duplications, to allow for clarity and for uniformity.

GAMBLERS

To qualify as a Champion you need 5 qualifying WINS.  This was initially the intention, as it is in Agility and Jumping, but was omitted from the rules.

Whilst it has been taken fore granted, the see saw is only allowed in the OPENING sequence in Grade 1. It is not allowed in the gamble. This is because grade 1 dogs should be able to traverse a see-saw, but to do so at a distance may prove difficult for some new handlers and dogs.

There are 2 points systems for Gamblers  1-3-5-7 and 1-2-3-5 and both systems can now be used for all grades at the discretion of the judge.

The time allowed for these points systems has been changed to be in line with the previous system.

The gamble time has been changed to Min 10 and Max 20 seconds at the judges discretion and dependant on severity of gamble.

Again the rest is as in the Snooker Rules and done for clarity and uniformity.
