The South African Dog Agility Association (SADAA) was established in 2001 to promote the sport of Dog Agility for all pure bred and mixed breed dogs in South Africa. SADAA is affiliated to the South African Working Dogs Association (SAWDA), which is the umbrella body for several working disciplines in South Africa.

The first SADAA Regional Trial was held in Oudtshoorn.

SADAA now has clubs in the Provinces listed below and our membership has grown from the original 21 to what it is today.

SADAA is divided into the following geographic areas :

North, comprising of:        Free State, Gauteng , North West and Kwa Zulu Natal.

South, comprising of:        Boland, Border, Eastern Province, Southern Cape and Western Province.

To compete in any SADAA events you first have to register your dog/s with SAWDA. Registration will only be accepted if your dog/s is 18 months or older. This is a once off payment of R80 for lifetime membership. You, as a handler, must then join SADAA. This membership is renewable on the 30 June each year, as the SADAA year runs from 1 July to 30 June. Membership fees are:

Single Member                                         R120

2nd Family Member                                 R 96     (Residing in the same household)

Scholar/ Student/Pensioner                      R 70

Due to the damage done to the Regional Trophies when they are in transit, they are no longer allowed to leave their Regions.  Because we wanted something for the handlers to take home with them Riette Mohr, our very talented Admin Manager, made the paw print floating trophies for each region.
