 TIP TOP CENTRE—POTCHEFSTROOM

In 2001 Hans and Zaneta van Huyssteen opened their boarding kennel Tip Top Centre, about 10km outside Potchefstroom and introduced obedience classes at the Trimpark in Potchefstroom .

In 2007 they decided to broaden their horizon by introducing agility and a bumpy road lay ahead as the knowledge about agility in this area was very vague.

Thanks to Jurie, Hannelie and Riette , from the Free State, they were given a crash course in agility and what SADAA is all about. In 2008 the very aspiring handlers entered trials in Gauteng and Free State. Their dogs amazed them, all placing in most of the rounds and soon they progressed from grade 1 to the next level.

Due to some of their older dogs retiring for several different reasons, three very determined handlers, Zaneta v Huyssteen with her Border Collie (Cody), Terina Vermeulen with her Boerboel (Misha) and Germarie van Zyl with her Border Collie (Spot) are in the process of extending their canine families with new members.

This year Tip Top Centre will enrich their experience with the knowledge of Ute Holthauzen who has joined their group from Natal with her Border Collies.
