Our thoughts go out to Jurie Smith on the sad news of the passing of his border collie, Zoe. For those who remember Zoe and watcher her and Jurie on the agility field, you will know that they were a team to be reckoned with in the Large dog height category in SADAA those many years ago. Zoe sal altyd in ons gedagtes bly (1998 - 2013).
SADAA would like to congratulate the following people for successfully qualifying as SADAA judges:
Thank you for all the hard work and time taken to complete the theoretical and practical assessments of the conversion course. We look forward to many years of running your courses at club and regional trial level! Thank you to Jackie Duncan-Smith for their smooth conversion and the Senior judges who monitored their first judging assignments.

On Saturday 6 July SADAA KZN, held its 1st club trial at Woodlands Sports grounds. The trial was judged by Sandy Thompson (a new SADAA judge) and there were 15 entries including 3 new handlers. A fun event was held after the trial to encourage new handlers to help up and coming handlers and their dogs get used to a "competition" environment. Well done to Taryn and her team. We look forward to many more trials in the future!
50 dogs competed in 2 Agility and Jumping trials as well as a Games trial at
the Pick 'n Pay Knysna Oyster Festival last weekend.
For more than half the dogs it was the first time on an agility course and
the improvement in handling during the weekend was most rewarding.
Hosted by SADAA's newest affiliated club, Knysna Agility Club, Karis and her
Team, (supported by Brett and Plettenberg Bay Agility Club), went out of
their way to accommodate the SADAA judges, Sam and Nadine (PE) and Debbie
(WP). Thank you Montego and Rogz for sponsoring so generously and Knysna
Primary School for providing a really pleasant venue. The attitude of
trainee scribes, time keepers and even a new scorer and the spirit amongst
all the competitors over the weekend in the most amazing Winter weather
contributed to making it a really good week end.
Thank you everyone who contributed in even the smallest way to making Knysna
2013 such a great success!

Well done to all the winners but especially our overall winners for the weekend:
In memory of Spy (owned & loved by Sam Stedman), who sadly passed away far too soon. Spy successfully competed in SADAA's Toy category at Grade 3 level, winning medals at recent RT's and qualifying for Nationals in 2013. Spy will be sorely missed by all who knew & loved her.
On 25th May Tracey Stiglingh entered her Husky, Zeus in his first SADAA trial, which was hosted by Vineyard Club in Stellenbosch. Is this the first HUSKY to be competing in agility in S.A?
The South African Dog Agility Association was established in 2001 to provide a friendly alternative for those competing in the sport of dog agility in South Africa.
