South African Dog Agility Association

The Gauteng region encompasses not only the largest city in South Africa, Johannesburg but also its capital, Pretoria. As agility is a growing sport in South Africa, the Gauteng region also includes newly established and growing provinces in the northern areas of South Africa. The region areas include two other provinces: North West and Mpumalanga. Major cities & towns in the Gauteng region include Johannesburg (GP), Pretoria (GP), Potchefstroom (NW), Klerksdorp (NW), Witbank (MP) & Nelspruit (MP).

 

Namibia recently became an addition to the Gauteng Region. 
 

The Regional Director for Gauteng is Wessel Griessel. Wessel and a few of his like-minded friends joined forces to create the "SADAA GP Squad". Their goal is to promote the sport of Agility, particularly among the youth. The SADAA GP Squad wants the focus of SADAA GP to be on the enjoyment of spending time with man's best friend! 

 

Wessel is a dedicated dog-dad of a boisterous pack. He has been involved in agility since 2013 and is currently competing with his Border Collie, Captain."
