The KwaZulu-Natal region comprises a number of large and smaller coastal and inland cities and towns including Durban, Pinetown, Pietermaritzburg, Ballito, Umhlanga, Port Shepstone, Margate and more! The region has an active agility community but in the past SADAA has never been able to build up a following. Under the guidance and leadership of our new Regional director, we hope the region will flourish!
Craig Perelson is the regional director of SADAA KZN. Craig has been a member of SADAA since 2004 and has helped with setup and running of the Gauteng region for many years. He has a wealth of knowledge and experience in agility trial management and qualified as a SADAA judge in 2014.
Craig started agility in 1997 when he was 10 years old. He had a German Shepherd named Tammy. He was born and raised in Johannesburg and competed in a lot of agility shows and public demonstrations. As a kid, he did a lot of admin for these shows. He has commentated for agility at some major public gatherings such as the Rand Easter Show, always promoting the sport. It was always great for him to see himself on TV explaining how agility worked.
Since relocating to Ballito in 2015, Craig has been involved in the KZN agility scene.
Craig is building SADAA KZN up slowly ensuring that it will have a strong foundation on which to build and grow similar to other regions.
SADAA KZN currently runs trials directly until SADAA grows a little bigger in KZN.
